Carolina Predators Name Julius Gregory as Offensive Coordinator

RALEIGH, NC - 

The Carolina Predators are proud to announce the hiring of Julius Gregory as the team’s new Offensive Coordinator. Gregory, a Raleigh native and former professional wide receiver, brings over a decade of experience as both a coach and player, with a proven record of player development, offensive innovation, and leadership across multiple levels of football.

Gregory’s coaching career includes roles as Offensive Coordinator/Assistant Head Coach for Diamond Sports Group’s Youth All-Star Organization (2018–2020, 2025), where he designed dynamic game plans and elevated offensive production. He has also served as Wide Receiver Coach and Special Teams Coordinator at I.C. Norcom High School (VA) and Defensive Coordinator/Assistant Head Coach for the Central Florida Jaguars, where he showcased his versatility in both offensive and defensive systems. His coaching resume also includes stints at Gibbs High School (FL) and Ligon Middle School (NC), underscoring his commitment to mentoring athletes at every stage of development.

As a player, Gregory’s career is equally distinguished. A standout at Shaw University (2007–2010), he went on to play professionally with organizations including the Arizona Rattlers, Tampa Bay Storm, and York Capitals, as well as local fan-favorite teams such as the Carolina Cobras and Fayetteville Mustangs. His experience as both a wide receiver and defensive back gives him a unique perspective on offensive play-calling, opponent scouting, and player preparation.

His hiring marks a significant step forward as the Predators prepare for the upcoming season with high expectations on the offensive side of the ball.
